Since 2001, Ann has worked as a freelance medical writer. She has written articles for medical journals and newsletters, developed educational material for patients, medical professionals and sales representatives, and created multimedia training programs. She has developed leader’s and participant’s guides for live training events. Present and past clients include AstraZeneca, American Pharmaceutical Association, Center for Successful Parenting, Crozer-Keystone Health Systems, ETHOS Health Communications, EVEO, Excerpta Medica, HealthAnswers Education, McMahon Publishing, Medical Broadcasting Company, Ragan Communications, SCIOS and VitesseLearning.
Ann’s corporate career began in 1995 where she served for a year as Newsletter Intern for Johnson & Johnson. From there she moved to CoMed Communications, where she worked as a Medical Writer, developing training and educational materials and writing and reviewing medical articles for clients like AstraZeneca, Parke-Davis and LifeScan.
In 1998 Ann joined Trinity Communications, where she created sales training programs and sales aids, as well as brochures and monographs. She edited medical journal articles. Clients included MediSense, Merck, Shering-Plough and Serono.
In 2000, Ann became Senior Writer for Deardorff Associates, where she created sales aids and marketing materials, wrote and edited medical newsletters, and edited an 850-page formulary to guide pharmacists in product selection. Clients included DuPont and Omnicare.
Originally from California, Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master’s degree from Rutgers University. She is a member of the American Medical Writer’s Association. |
